Customer Reviews

“I would highly recommend it to fans of hit movies & TV shows... I was interested in seeing sites from movies filmed in the 60's through the 80's.

“My solution to the strike was to hop aboard an On Location Tours bus to see some of NYC’s most famed movie and TV locations live and in 3-D.

Filming Locations from Baby Boom | New York TV and Movie Tours | NYC Bus Tours, Sightseeing in Manhattan, NYOn Location Tours offers three great New York City tours that will allow you to see locations from the fun 80’s movie, Baby Boom, as well as so many others.  The New York TV & Movie Sites Tour, Central Park Movie Sites Tour, and New York TV & Movie Sites Classics Tour all feature sites from this film.

In Baby Boom, J.C. Wiatt, played by Diane Keaton, is a successful New York business woman.  She gets news of an inheritance from a relative from another country and assumes it will be money.  Instead, it turns out to be a baby girl.  J.C. is now stuck with a baby, a situation that definitely does not fit her fast-paced, busy New York City lifestyle. Her boyfriend doesn't like the idea of a baby living with them and takes off, prompting J.C. to look into adoption.  Finding herself too attached to let go, J.C. experiences one life-changing event after another when she also loses her job. She sets her eyes on an old two-story cottage in Vermont to escape the New York life. She gets bored one snowy day and decides to make applesauce. Her baby loves it and she gets the great idea to package it and sell it as baby food. Pretty soon everyone wants some of the baby applesauce. J.C. hits it big and also falls in love with a local veterinarian, Jeff, played by Sam Shepard.

Diane Keaton is a household name who has won an Oscar as well as two Golden Globes.  Two of these awards were for the movie Annie Hall, a comedy written and directed by Woody Allen.  Keaton played the love interest of Woody Allen’s character, Alvy Singer.  Other movies that Diane Keaton is well known for include The Godfather, The Godfather: Part II, The Good Mother, Father of the Bride, The Other Sister, Something’s Gotta Give, The First Wives Club, Look Who’s Talking Now, Terminal Impact, The Family Stone, Because I Said So, and Mad Money.Filming Locations from Baby Boom | New York TV and Movie Tours | NYC Bus Tours, Sightseeing in Manhattan, NY

On both the Central Park Tour and the Classics Tour, you’ll get to see the Pierre Hotel, where, in a hilarious scene, J.C. tries to check her baby into a coat check so she can have drinks with colleagues!  Also on both the Classics Tour and the New York TV and Movie Tour, you will see the building where J.C. works, and the toy store where J.C. goes to buy lots of toys for the baby out of guilt after trying to put her up for adoption, FAO Schwarz.  These fun, guided tours of Manhattan will be the highlight of your visit, and leave you feeling like you just stepped off the set of a movie.
