MacLaren’s Pub, from the hit CBS-TV series, is based on McGee’s Pub (240 West 55th Street, New York City), not far from the Ed Sullivan Theater, where the show’s creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, worked as writers for the Late Show with David Letterman.
