On your visit to New York City, you too might feel like a stranger to Manhattan just like Enchanted’s beautiful princess Giselle, but luckily the New York TV & Movie Sites Tour will help you find your way around the Big Apple. Played by Amy Adams, Giselle is sent tumbling down a magical well, and finds herself in a non-animated, fast-paced environment with no enchantment, aka New York City. Giselle’s plan to marry Prince Edward (James Marsden) is shattered by jealous Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon), who wants to withhold her position as queen. Giselle, foreign to this new environment, begins to fall in love with the man who first helped her upon her arrival in NYC, divorce lawyer, Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey), and proves that one can find love in a scary disenchanted world like New York City. On the NY TV & Movie Sites Tour you too can go to the areas where Giselle was able to befriend animals and shop at the stores that helped her get ready for the ball!
Midtown
This fun-filled family tour begins in midtown where you will head to the “fuzzy fountains” in front of the Alliance-Bernstein Building at 6th Avenue, where Queen Narissa looks into the fountain and discovers Giselle is at the Woolworth Building, where the King and Queen Ball and the final confrontation takes place.
Midtown Manhattan is filled with beautiful historical architecture, the tallest skyscrapers, and is known as the largest central business district in the United States. Nestled inside the borough of Manhattan is a beautiful park, also the oasis of New York, and an easy escape from the fast-paced city streets and traffic. On the Central Park Movie Sites Tour, take a walk through the most visited park in the United States with about twenty-five million visitors annually. Here, Giselle questions Robert on how he displays his affection for Nancy (Idina Menzel) and spontaneously starts the musical production number "That's How You Know" with everyone in the park performing with her. 
Central Park is a site that cannot be missed, offering many different activities from sports facilities, outside concerts, twenty one unique playgrounds for children, beautiful sculptures and boulders that are great to climb. Hundreds of movies have been filmed in Central Park, including Superman, The Fisher King, The Producers, and Home Alone 2. Ride in style and feel as if you were royalty by journeying on a horse drawn carriage through the park! Don’t forget to check out the statue of General William Tecumseh Sherman astride his horse in the Grand Army Plaza, which was featured in Enchanted. This shining statue was Augustus’s Saint- Gaudens last great work fulfilling his long-standing dream to pay tribute to the heroes of the Civil War. At the General Sherman Statue we also see pigeons sitting a top the statue taking off at the sound of Giselle’s lovely voice.
Next stop is the Time Warner Center, where Robert Philip works as a divorce lawyer. Giselle attempts to drink water out of a fish tank and stops in awe to admire the large nude female statue. The Time Warner Center is a mixed-use skyscraper with two towers bridged by a multi-story atrium. The building surrounds half of Columbus Circle in Midtown Manhattan and is divided between offices, residential condominiums, and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Located inside are the Shops at Columbus Circle, an upscale shopping mall. The complex is home to a theater for Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as CNN studios, where Lou Dobbs Tonight is broadcasted live.
Across from the Time Warner Center is the Maine Memorial. Here, Prince Edward seeks Giselle from the top of the statue. However, he is distracted by Nathaniel (Timothy Spall) who points to a redhead being pedaled away in a pedicab, when actually Giselle is entering the park to his right.
Lower Manhattan
Lower Manhattan includes many small neighborhoods, each special with its own unique character and style. Head to Washington Square Park to see where Giselle from Enchanted was accompanied by helpful roaches, rats, and pigeons. Washington Square Park is one of New York City’s best-known public parks, and is a major landmark to the Manhattan neighborhood of Greenwich Village. The park's fountain area has long been one of the city's popular spots for residents and NYU students. The park is famous for its marbled Arch, modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, which has been featured in many movies, including I am Legend, and When Harry Met Sally.
A trip to New York City would not be complete without grabbing something to eat at Katz’s Delicatessen! Here, Prince Edward and Nathaniel sit while the prince thinks about how to find Giselle and Nathaniel tries to distract him from his purpose after encountering Queen Narissa’s face in a pot of boiling water back in the kitchen. The chipmunk does a charades act on the table, which Prince Edward completely misinterprets. Katz’s Delicatessen is definitely worth the money to stop for its pastrami sandwiches and hotdogs which are considered New York’s best! There you can even sit at the same booth where Harry met Sally in When Harry Met Sally.
