What You’ll See On Tour

On Location Tours offers a full-day experience that includes both sightseeing and filmmaking. This is a wonderful package for both student and adult groups who want to experience first-hand all the different aspects of the film-making process while learning the illustrious history of the New York film industry.

This exclusive all-day experience will take your group on a guided bus tour to the sites of your favorite movies and TV shows filmed in New York City, followed by an intensive 4-hour film-making workshop.
 
Portion A: The New York Tour of TV and Movie Sites offers students the opportunity to see the locations that they know from the big and small screens! From Friends to Spider-man, Devil Wears Prada to Ugly Betty, we cover over 60 locations from countless TV shows and films. Approx 3.5 hours.

Portion B: The Film Workshop allows students to direct, cast, act, film, and edit a short film! In a 4-hour hands-on workshop, students will take the following "classes":

  • 45 min. - Camera Class
  • 30 min. - Directing Class
  • 90 min. - Filming a Short Film
  • 60 min. - Editing Class
  • 15 min. - Screening the Short Films

Portion A and Portion B can be done in any order: morning/afternoon, afternoon/morning, etc.  Portion B can also be done in the evening.
