What You’ll Do During the Combo


On Location Tours offers a 4-hour or 6-hour experience that includes both sightseeing and filmmaking. This exclusive filmmaking combo will take your group on a guided bus tour to the sites of your favorite movies and TV shows filmed in New York City and then drop off your group at a professional studio for a 2-hour or 4-hour interactive filmmaking workshop.  This is a wonderful package for both student and adult groups who wish to experience first-hand all the different aspects of the filmmaking process while learning the illustrious history of the New York film industry.


Portion A: The New York TV & Movie Sites Tour offers your group the opportunity to see locations that they know from the big and small screen! From Friends to Spider-Man, Devil Wears Prada to Ugly Betty, we cover over 60 locations from countless TV shows and films. (Approx 2 hours for student groups.  Approx 3 hours for adult groups.)

Portion B: The Filmmaking Workshop allows students to direct, cast, act, shoot and edit a short film! In this hands-on workshop, groups will learn and perform the following:

  • Acting Lesson and Exercises
  • Camera and Lighting Techniques
  • Directing and Filming
  • Performing on Camera
  • Editing (using today’s latest software)

*Portion A and Portion B can be taken in any order during the morning, afternoon, or evening hours.
