In a case of mistaken identity, New York advertising executive Roger Thornhill is kidnapped by a gang of spies led by Philip Vandamm, who believe Thornhill is CIA agent George Kaplan. Thornhill escapes, but has to find the CIA agent in order to clear himself of a murder. Following Kaplan to Chicago as a fugitive on the run, Thornhill is assisted on the train by a beautiful blonde, Eve Kendall. She turns out to be associated with the enemy, and nearly gets him killed. After a long and intricate ordeal in Chicago, Thornhill gets away with his life… and the girl of course.
Two-time Oscar nominee, and five time Golden Globe Nominee, Cary Grant stars as Roger Thornhill. The talented actor has appeared in such classics as Alice in Wonderland, The Awful Truth, Bringing Up Baby, Once Upon A Honeymoon, Night and Day, Notorious, To Catch a Thief, The Grass is Greener, That Touch of Mink, Charade, and An Affair to Remember.

On all three New York TV and Movie Sites tours, you can see the iconic Plaza Hotel where Roger Thornhill is kidnapped and forced into a life of espionage. The Plaza is the most filmed building in NYC, with literally dozens of films having been shot here. The Plaza Hotel was built in 1907. It cost $12 million to build, and was the most expensive building ever built at the time. You’ll also see the famous Grand Central Terminal where Thornhill makes his escape to Chicago to find the CIA agent.
