Boston Common
The Boston Movie Mile Tour kicks off at Boston Common, a 50-acre central park in the city. Boston Common, also the name of a NBC sitcom in the 90's, claims many notable landmarks such as the Boston Public Garden, Massachusetts State House, Brewer Fountain, Park Street Station (America's first subway station) and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Movies and TV shows filmed in the Boston Common include Cheers, The Departed, Ted, Ally McBeal, The Company Men, Glory and Good Will Hunting.
Beacon Hill
The Boston Movie Mile Walking Tour, ends at one of Boston’s most famous locations: the Cheers bar. Also known as the Bull and Finch Pub, this neighborhood bar in Beacon Hill was used for the exterior shots in the popular sitcom Cheers.
