What You’ll See On Tour
Home to countless famous actors, musicians and athletes, Brooklyn continues to rise in popularity as the "it" place to see and be seen. There's no better way to explore the hippest borough in New York City than on the Brooklyn TV and Movie Sites Tour.
Our one-of-a-kind unique bus tour will take you to over 40 locations seen on both the big and small screen. Guided by some of New York’s most talented actors, the Brooklyn TV and Movie Sites Tour will take you to sites from Bored to Death, Eat, Pray, Love, Boardwalk Empire, Gossip Girl, I am Legend, You Don't Know Jack, American Gangster, Sex and the City, What Happens in Vegas, White Collar, The Departed, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and more!
Brooklyn Heights
Aptly named for its stance on a cliff overlooking the East River, Brooklyn Heights is an affluent area with beautiful waterfront views. Notable residents of this area, at one time or another, include Truman Capote, Jennifer Connelly, Mary Tyler Moore and Paul Giamatti. The Brooklyn TV and Movie Sites Tour will lead you through Brooklyn Heights filming locations used in Burn After Reading, Remember Me, Moonstruck, Mickey Blue Eyes and many more. You'll also see the Brooklyn Heights Cinema, which hosts a variety of well-known independent film festivals.
DUMBO
DUMBO, which stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, offers up multiple sightseeing opportunities. This trendy Brooklyn neighborhood is regarded as one of New York City's premier arts districts. Culinary businesses also abound, most notably Jacques Torres Chocolate, Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and Pete's Downtown Restaurant.
During the tour, you'll hop off the bus and take a stroll around Main Street where scenes from Analyze That, 13 Going on 30, Scent of a Woman, Gossip Girl and The Forgotten have been filmed.
Carroll Gardens
During the middle portion of the tour, you'll visit Carroll Gardens, named after the revolutionary war veteran Charles Carroll. This Italian-American area of Brooklyn is known for its quiet streets and abundance of gardens fronting the brownstone homes. Your tour guide will take you on a walk to the Cammareri Bros Bakery seen in Moonstruck. Other movies sites seen in this area include The Departed and Jack Goes Boating.
Park Slope and Prospect Park
Take a trip through one of Brooklyn's most desirable neighborhoods. With its charming rows of brownstones and smattering of trendy restaurants and bars, Park Slope offers idyllic living as well as prime filming opportunities. On the tour, you'll see the restaurant used as a stand-in for a French café in Julie & Julia. You'll also check out sites from Boardwalk Empire, Baby Mama and more.
Located within close proximity to Park Slope is Prospect Park. The 585-acre public park was built in the 1860's by the same men who designed Manhattan's ever-so-famous Central Park. Movies and TV shows filmed in and around Prospect Park include As Good As It Gets, Meet Joe Black and Damages.
Fort Greene
The latter part of the Brooklyn TV and Movie Sites Tour will lead you through Fort Greene towards the Manhattan Bridge. The gentrified neighborhood of Fort Greene can be seen in Sex and the City (the movie), Damages, Brooklyn's Finest, Bored to Death, Kitchen Nightmares and more.
Fort Greene has recently received increased media exposure due to residential opposition to the proposed building plans for the Barclays Center, future home to the Brooklyn Nets. Notable current and former residents of this area include Adrian Grenier, Keri Russell, Chris Rock, Mos Def, Erykah Badu and Terrence Howard.
* In an effort to stay current, we are constantly updating our tours with new locations and cannot guarantee the presence of locations mentioned on our site. If you have a particular interest in locations from a specific TV show or movie, please let your tour guide know and we will do our best to accomodate your request.
